What is a Surgical Center?
A surgical center, also known as an ambulatory surgery center, is a modern facility designed for specific outpatient (same day/short stay) surgery. Hospitals have operating rooms, but those operating rooms must be prepared to deal with any situation and could host patients with infectious diseases. Surgeons without a surgical center typically rent an operating room (OR) in a nearby hospital. Surgical centers offer the patient more individualized care, more convenience, a more pleasant atmosphere, and less stress. With Dr. Zukowski, you don’t have to go to a hospital for your surgery – everything happens right here in the Zukowski center!
