Postoperative Care at the Zukowski Center
With You Every Step of the Way
Post-Op Surgery Information
Dr. Zukowski and his team will clearly spell out all postoperative care and instructions before, during, and after your surgery to ensure that you recover from surgery quickly. Once you walk out the door, your time with Dr. Zukowski and his staff is far from over! Dr. Zukowski provides his personal cell phone number and email address to all of his postoperative patients and will be with you throughout your recovery.
Out of Town Patients
- Dr. Zukowski will visit you for your immediate postoperative care in your hotel*.
- You will follow up through weekly telephone appointments with Dr. Zukowski. You will send him pictures of your postoperative progress for each appointment.
- Telephone appointments are spaced further apart as your healing progresses.
*You must choose a hotel from the list provided to you when planning your surgery. If your hotel is not on our list, you will need to come to the center for postoperative care.
Local Patients
- You will come into the center for your immediate postoperative care.
- You will follow up through weekly in-office appointments with Dr. Zukowski.
- Office visits are spaced further apart as your healing progresses.
Postoperative Caregiving Assistance
We work with an independent contract caregiving service that can be hired in advance to provide you with assistance in the postoperative period to help you recover from surgery.
This service can be in addition to the friends and family that you bring to care for you, or it can serve as your primary caregiver if you choose to come alone.
They can run errands for you, provide transportation, and offer other services such as postoperative showers and hair care.
It’s not only the work you do but the relationships you create with your patients. You take time out of your busy schedule to take a minute & get to know them and show them you care. Thank you for having such an amazing staff of wonderful people who have made me feel so welcome … Every effort was made by your team to aid me with any questions or concerns that I had. After my surgery, I received personal visits and phone calls ensuring my comfort & physical safety.
